WATER-SOLUBLE OIL PASTEL
By wetting with water, the colors traces of the water soluble oil pastel can melt to repre-sent very subtle watercolor effects. You can also preserve some traces in their original pastel touches to add to the plurality of your picture. Beside basic wetting techniques, you can do also techniques such as wet-on-wet, finger rubbing, thick layering, scratching, etc. to create a multi-level painting and enrich the visual effect by representing both pastel and watercolor arts on one surface.
